Budget Wedding

Out of Pocket

As the groom, you (and in some cases your family), are responsible for certain significant expenses. The greatest of these will probably be the rehearsal dinner. This cost applies if you've chosen to go the traditional route of having the bride's family host the wedding. It is not uncommon for both the bride and groom to share the expenses of the wedding, and in such a case, they would also share the cost of the rehearsal dinner. The same conditions apply to the honeymoon where the tariff is often shared. As with all aspects of the wedding, there are no absolute rules (other than showing up). That said, here is a complete list of the expenses traditionally borne by the groom, from rehearsal dinner to honeymoon.
